Ron Savage has published over 90 stories worldwide.  He is the recipient of the Editor’s Circle Award for Best New Writing (Hopewell) and has been

nominated for the Pushcart Prize.  His stories have appeared in such journals as Glimmer Train, North American Review, The Baltimore Review and Crazyhorse.


Dr. Savage has worked under the title of Senior Staff Psychologist at Eastern State Hospital in Williamsburg, Virginia, the first hospital for mental disorders in America.


In Scar Keeper, the author brings his expertise to his protagonist, Psychologist Indigo Swann.  The police have called her patient’s recent death a suicide but Indy believes it was a murder.  She must go back into her patient’s past therapy sessions, and his life, to prove it.
